Tips for Cleaning & Maintaining Your Garage Floor Coatings
With the right garage flooring system, like Garage Finisher’s Forever Floor, you’ll only need to provide minimal maintenance to keep it in great shape. However, our garage floor refinishing experts also wanted to provide you with some tips here so you can maintain your garage floor all year round, so read on!
The Basics
Simply hose down and squeegee dry for normal cleaning, usually soap is not even necessary for most surface dirt like road salt residue. For tougher dirt, we recommend you use the type of cleaner that rewets the type of dirt you have on the floor, example rust remover, grease remover, etc
When you are removing dirt, it is best to rinse the floor, then spray with cleaner and scrub with the synthetic scrub-brush on your Garage Finisher Foam Squeegee. Allow to soak for a few minutes then scrub again, rinse clean and squeegee dry
Make sure to rinse off all soap residue so it does not take away from the shine or make the floor slippery because of a soap film.
Cleaning your Forever Floor should be very fast and easy. You can use any household cleaner and even a power-washer but a power-washer is not necessary and makes cleaning more involved. We do not recommend using solvent based Goof-Off or Paint Stripper on the floor.
